Cate is fine, honest.

But now she's applied to a secretive supplement trial that will either help her thrive on this world or kill her outright, and she can't talk about it to anyone — not that she has anyone to talk to it about. And, to complicate things further, her relationship with her family is a mess, her best friend wants a husband, and the cute new Earthen guy at the dog park is definitely not ready for commitment.

Maybe things aren't fine after all. As Cate sees the consequences of her choices unravel, she must figure out what she really wants from her life, and learn to accept who she is.
