I was so excited to hear that Lights Out Ink had chosen Sarah this week!
She’s the heroine of Ground Control; while she has a bit of a shaky start, she does find her legs eventually. Sarah may first appear to have been letting life happen to her, but as you get to know her, you begin to discover that perhaps she hasn’t been so passive after all.
In speculative fiction, there is always an element of reality. Set in the not-too-distant future, people are the same: some are louder, some are more confident, but inner strength and determination is what matters. In times of change and stress, Sarah surrounds herself with supportive friends; with their support, she rises above the limitations she has placed on herself.
